Raw Box

Rawbox November 2015

Welcome Rawbox to the ring… Rawbox is a monthly subscription box that brings you “raw snacks, vegan beauty products, and eco-friendly household items from the healthiest brands on the planet.” In each box you will find items that are raw, plant-based, and gluten free. There will be 10-12 items and the value will be $40-$80!

What’s in the November debut box? Below is a list of all of the things that were in the box, the suggested retail price, and my thoughts. This box came out to $51.50 worth of product (and a coupon for 20% off all DIY cleanses on thephilosophie.com). That is at least $10 over the price that you pay for the box if you pay month-to-month, almost $20 if you sign up for a 12 month subscription!

Go Raw Choco Sprouted Cookies: Suggested retail $1. The back of the wrapper of this one actually says it best- “satisfy chocolate cravings without sacrificing taste.”

Nutrawbar Coconut Rawbar: Suggested retail $3. This was a great introduction to finding something that is healthy that you can eat on the go, it is vegan, non GMO, gluten free, kosher, and is easy to grab and go!

Sunwarrior Classic Plus Protein Powder: Suggested retail $6. If you are looking at your New Year resolutions list you may want to look up this item for your pre and post work out.

Emmy’s Organics Coconut Vanilla Macaroons: Suggested retail $3. First of all, who doesn’t love a macaroon? Now you can have one that is vegan, gluten free, and non GMO!

Brad’s Raw Foods Raw Broccoli Poppers: Suggested retail $4. I personally had never heard of these before, but they caught my eye, especially when you look at the nutrition label- 64% of your vitamin A!

Doctor in the Kitchen Flackers: Suggested retail $6. This was another generous size sample and I love the recipe suggestion for either eating these with guacamole or crumbling over a salad.

Sunfood Superfoods Goji Berries: Suggested retail $15. This item was more than just a sample, 8 oz was a great portion so you can try this product out in a variety of ways (suggested recipes were a dressing and a smoothie).

Artisana Organics Raw Coconut Cacao Bliss: Suggested retail $2. This is a great sauce with lots of versatility, whether you want to add it to a smoothie, put it on a dessert, or just go for it and eat it out of the package! 😉

Raw Revolution Spirulina Dream 100 Calorie Bars: Suggested retail $1. This is Raw Revolution’s number one selling bar and is only 100 calories!

Saavy Naturals Yuzu and Meyer Lemon Bar Soap: Suggested retail $6. You might not see this product first when you open the box, but it is definitely the first one you smell, and you’ll find that you keep going back to smell it again and again.

EcoNuts Soap Nuts: Suggested retail $4.50. This was another one that I had not heard of, but was pleasantly surprised to meet. This product is a natural detergent and is great for sensitive skin.

What did I love about this box? Not only do they give you a brochure of what each item included is and what company it is from, it also included what the retail price is for that item and either a recipe suggestion or a “Food for Thought” (a tidbit about the company that produced the product or a factoid about the product itself). Also, all the items that came in the box were a generous size; you didn’t feel at all like you were getting sample sizes for some of the products (yes, I’m looking at you Goji Berries, weighing in at 8 oz).

Already thinking about those New Year resolutions? This might be the box for you! Or maybe you are not ready to take the plunge, but you know who this box would be perfect for? Christmas is just around the corner and this would make the perfect unique gift.  If you are considering this as a gift act fast because orders in by November 30th will be shipped between December 5-10th. Boxes start at $33.96 a month (12 month prepay subscription), $35.95 (6 month prepay subscription), $37.95 (3month prepay subscription), or $39.95 (month-to-month subscription), and all boxes ship free.
